I hope you are right about Crema being back next year. I know it is not often that an 18 yo rookie makes it onto the team out of camp but we will still be young so it could happen.

As far as adding muscle is concerned, we will see how that works out.

Mike, top prospects doesn't mean that they need to be here this year...Edwards was a top prospect last year, I know Crema personnally...he is a great kid and can play, but they had No Muscle on the blue line with Sena moving up to the wing. They needed this...Crema will be back next year, and a better player for having played some Jr A hockey. Everything in hockey is a stepping stone and a successful team is comprised by many different types of players.

well I can add this: Crema is one of their top prospects. It even says so in THIS year's T-Birds guide. SO they let him play one game on the road and sit him out the other 5 games then send him home.

This makes no sense.. he was only injured during the pre-season but was ready to go from Game 1. Why not give him more of a look especially with the shoddy defense we've gotten from the other players??

Is this Sumner's fault or yet another black mark on the resume on one Colin Alexander??

Tyler - I'm still waiting on pins and needles for your article on the new fighting rules, when's the due date? I like that they picked up someone who appears to have a little mean streak. Or is it not ok for fans to enjoy an 18 year old who drops the gloves? Does that make me unfit for the new WHL? Love your site!

Birds win 2 of 3 between Saturday night and Tuesday. This will be a fun team to get behind and watch
over the next 2-3 years!

I agree with your comment about Crema leaving before he had a chance to really play. Lesson here is not to get hurt as a rookie. Hopefully he'll be back next year. Bad move IMO :(
