Sure... The first game is still officially scheduled for January 3rd against the Everett Silvertips. However, the Tbirds have been given a window where they have penciled in three games after Christmas for either Kent or Key Arena where the new Arena could be ready to go by the December 27th game against Portland. From what I hear... things are on schedule for the first game to be held on the 27th but a lot of things could alter those plans along the way.

My guess... and this is only a guess is that the Tbirds will be making a decision in the next two weeks whether the facility is going to be ready.

I believe capacity has been set now but I don't know that exact number... it will be right around 6,000 with the last number I heard being 6,025.

Tickets for games in the new arena have not been put on sale and I imagine they will shortly after the official opening date is announced. Season Ticket Holders have not even recieved seat assignments yet but I suspect they will be getting them very soon.

The new arena needs to be ready by Dec. 27th for the Winterhawks. Those 2 cities have a hatred towards each other since the Totems and Buckaroos days. No offense to Everett, but they don't deserve it either

For one.. you're always welcome to offend our cow bell carrying fans to the north... second... myself and I think a lot of Tbirds fans would agree with you. In terms of historical significance, in my opinion Kamloops would be my second choice before Everett. People forget now that the Blazers are in a different division but it seemed like Kamloops knocked us out of the playoffs every year for like a decade straight.
