Thunderbirds own Silvertips again...

Seattle comes from overcomes a 2-0 deficit tonight to defeat the Silvertips and improve to 6-0 versus their rivals to the North on I-5. Seattle fell behind early on first period Power Play goals by Dan Gendur and Zach Hamill but hit the trifecta in the 2nd period scoring a Short Handed Goal, a Power Play Goal and an Even Strength Goal to take a 3-2 lead.

Everett was able to answer with Zach Hamill netting his 2nd of the night and 18th of the season but David Richard scored the only goal of the 3rd period to seal the 6th straight win for the Tbirds over the Tips. For Richard it was his 2nd of the night, 11th of the season and the 2nd Seattle SH goal of the night. Earlier Jim O'Brien scored the Short Handed Goal to get Seattle within one at 2-1 off an assist from Prab Rai.

Rai finished with a Goal and three Assists on the night, earning the first star of the game.

Everett played again without leading scorer Kyle Beach who is still recovering from a concussion.

Seattle hits the road again tomorrow heading across the Cascades to visit the Tri-City Americans on Sunday afternoon. With the 2 points Seattle now trails Everett by only 7 points with 5 games in hand. They also have closed the point percentage gap but still trail the 'Tips .564 to .577.

Honorable Mention... has to be David Richard who continues to find the back of the net with 2 more goals tonight.
