Monday...

Not much to update this morning as I wasn't able to attend games this weekend. I have heard reports that Rouse looked good and so did Sentyurin. Probably the biggest development would be the reports I heard that Prab Rai looked like his "normal" self on Saturday night. This is obviously a very encouraging sign for the Tbirds because they are going to need him to play at a high level the rest of the season if they are going to have a shot at making the playoffs.

Btw... I don't want to give one of my "commenters" too hard of a time about stats but after the two games this weekend Rai is back to a "pace" of 26 goals and 26 assists. My point isn't to say "hey look how smart I am" but really the lesson is that small sample sizes are dangerous and we probably nee to see 25-35 games before we get too excited about statistical paces.

Yes, and are win was against the worst team in the whl I'm glad he looked better but it's not saying a whole lot.

definitely true... but do we have to sprinkle salt on it just because we can?

"really the lesson is that small sample sizes are dangerous"

Please keep your own statement in mind when you make comments, because you’re as guilty as everyone else.

wait... you're kidding right? Ok... I guess not. I don't think I said "Prab Rai looked so amazing Saturday that he is going to score 100 points the rest of the season."

What exactly am I guilty of?

Come on man... I didn't even see the game Saturday, all I said was that I "heard" he looked good... as in, the Prab Rai we have seen before. That doesn't negate my statement that you have to be careful with small sample sizes.

Saying Prab Rai had a good game Saturday doesn't mean he's "back" it means he had one good game and I don't think I said anything but that.

So good job trying to "call me out" but you're going to have to do better than that.

The sprinkling of salt was good on the margaritas that I consumed to forget about the Friday game. But know were on a win streak.

I can agree with that... losing to Everett always drives me to drink.

Let me preface my remarks with the note that I am a Silvertip STH who a long time ago in an ancient barn was a TBird STH. IMO Prab Rai has always played well against Everett. Friday night I was talking to some TBird fans and they said that Rai wasn't playing well. So I was watching him and he didn't play like he was very excited... no speed down the wings like he usually does against us... What came to mind was he doesn't want to play for the TBirds.... just one game, I know...

From the limited (note limited) inside knowledge I have the problem doesn't really have anything to do with his desire to be here in Seattle.

Not saying this is 100% absolute fact... but I don't "think" he wants out of Seattle.

So what is the limit knowlege that you have (the(Real)issue)that would lead us all to believe that's not the case.

I don't know what game you were watching, but in my opinion, rai was one of our better players Friday night. Thing is, I still see the speed, I still see the vision rai has, to me it seems like he's trying to do to much. He's trying to make that extra pass, he's trying to skate through players. The one thing I will say is lacking from his game is his physical play. To me, he's always been that player trying to do to much, trying to make a pretty play instead of just keeping his game simple. But last year he had players around him that could finish that extra pass, that can keep up with his speed and this year is completely different. I'm not going to get on prabs game. I've seen five out of the eleven games this season and have always came away with prab was one of, if not the best tbird on the ice that night. He seems to me that he still has it, he just doesn't have the same supporting cast around him.

Speaking of the everett game, I'm very impressed with the defensive showing the birds put up. Pickard might be one of the best I've ever seen, I'm very impressed with muth, sentyurin is going to be really good, and wells and silvester and really turning it up. We really do have a good core of young players, but with that being said, the bad... worst game I've ever seen from neilsen, fleming needs to put some muscle on because he was pushed off the puck everytime he touched it. Lockhart still can't skate, and we still have no offense to support what little weapons we have. It was very obvious we were going to lose when we were being outshot 12 to 1 in the first period. The talent is for sure there, its just going to take awhile.

Anyone here what happened to ramsay this weekend?

Ramsay suffered a head injury. He fell awkwardly into the boards and while he was falling, was hit from behind.
